We work together. We flirted for ages and eventually something happened. However, turns out he has a girlfriend and doesn't know if they should be together or not so he put the brakes on what went down between me and him. Ever since then he has been friendly (no awkwardness, still flirting) but now asks a lot of questions about me (eg always asks what I plan to do/what I did on the weekend, where I come from, what do my parents do, siblings etc). Is he just being polite and feigning interest as he feels guilty he rejected me and feels he ought to show some interest in me so I don't feel bad, or could he be really interested in me?

Yes he is probably interested but hes trying to have his cake and eat it. The very fact he has a girlfriend means steer clear don't get caught up in it. If he does become single then see what happens but at the moment I would leave him alone.

He's testing you out as a prospect for an affair. He's filtering for his girl's replacement. Total creep. He should know better than to shop at work.
Men don't feel guilty about castoffs (no offense). He likes knowing that you still have feelings for him. That way he has an open door to manipulate you. It's a power thing. Men love power more than love, which they consider a weakness.
BEST ANSWER: Treat him like dirt. Walk away from him. If he pursues, start talking to him about another guy you're already dating. And LOWER his ranking in your head.

It sounds like he is still interested but if he has a gf and things are awkward between you, plus you have to work with him. I would just try and keep things on a professional level if there is not chance of you two being together. It is less likely to be mis-construed as a come on. You still have to work with him and it could make something that is now already messy, even messier.

possibly human beings are not stricken i detect a lot of human beings do this! that's specially jokes and so on. that get the most stars or in polls & surveys for in many circumstances stupid questions. human beings basically answer maximum questions for factors or may answer them to assist yet not locate the question exciting. =p

He is so into you... it's obvious... He asks you questions about your week or weekend, your life, everything... He wants every little detail about your life... He likes you... I can tell... You need to speak up girl, and tell him it's me or her...
