CHICAGO! :)

The people are nice

There are TONS of great restaurants and bars

It's a big city, that has a small city feel

It's affordable, even for a big city

9 months out of the year, the weather is great ;)

The lake is awesome in the summer!

There are many different sporting events to go to

Literally every band on tour makes a stop in Chicago

and finally,

It isn't the south, making it extremely open-minded to anything!

San Francisco. No question. Not just the little cable cars which climb halfway to the gay bars, either. There are wonderful museums and events and activities every day, and there is some superb shopping and eating and all the right things for tourists. But there are also funky little coffee houses and book shops and bagelries and enough variety for everyone. There's buffalo in Golden Gate Park, and that weird museum of amusement park leftovers out by the beach, and Fisherman's Wharf with its fresh fish and stale attractions . . . this is making me homesick. Maybe I'll take a train up there again someday soon.

Pittsburgh, Pa.

Even when I moved away I could proudly say that I love this city with all my heart. And that's what makes it such a great city: heart.

Every resident of Pittsburgh loves their city and takes pride in what we have here. When Mayor Bob O'Connor died, it's was like Pittsburgh's JFK.

Plus our city is filled with culture. From the United States second largest St. Patrick's Day parade to our thriving arts district, with places such as Carnegie Hall, how isn't this the best city in the US or the world?

And as for dining, Pittsburgh is #1 for foods you've never tried or heard of, and the best ones at that! Foods like the Permani Brothers sandwichs and the rich Polish, German, Italian, and other Western European foods and restaurants.

And to top it all off, what other city can say they have their own language like Pittsburghese?

Next to Chicago, I would move to Austin, Texas. They have everything: good food and restaurants, music, Town Lake and its paths, UT, State Capitol, hills, trees and breezes, moderate climate compared to Chicago or the rest of Texas, friendly people (because of concealed carry). That is my next stop.
