Absolutely! And no it won't crash in the end, as long as both of you are committed to the friendship first.
I'm now 23, I've been friends with a girl since I was 12, and early in high school I decided I liked her more than friends. She didn't reciprocate the feeling, and even though I made it known to her (in an awkward early high school student way), we never moved beyond friends. Later in high school, she liked me, but I'd already moved on and wasn't really interested anymore.
Through it all, we've always been friends, and still are. I consider her one of my best friends. Hope this helps.
Cheers.

you can but you need to some how make it clear to him, that you are just friends. or either dont hang out with him as much. maybe once a week or once every other week. and dont talk to him on the phone everyday either. b/c you know when you give a person that likes you a lot of attention, they tend to take it as a sign of hope.

I have found that some fudge brownies and some beer (don't forget the ice cream btw) may change your mind about this guy. After all you said he was nice and funny. The brownies will do the rest. Good luck!!!

BEST SOLUTION: Start talking about your boyfriend or this guy you like. Interject it only once or twice in your conversation. But do it each time you talk. He'll get the message around the fourth or fifth time. Be truly ga-ga over this fictitional character.
2nd - Find someone similar to you and introduce him to them, very casually.

Just make sure he knows you're only interested in being friends. If he presses it for more tell him flat out that you're not interested in that but like him as a friend.

be honest tell him he has no chance of getting you in the sack he'll either deal with or not.Don't forget to mention how hot other guys are when you see them. And it's really hard to keep male friends when they hit on you.Tell him to stop if he doesnt lose him.

Yes, you can, but make sure he knows you don't feel the same way about him as he does about you. If he really is a good friend, he will understand.
