You are NOT controlled by destiny.
You actually control your destiny. Right now you may feel as if you are being controlled.
Karma only means action, and the consequences for those actions.
You CAN change your karma by learning to make better choices instead of making the bad choices, and continuing to feel like a victom.

I half wanted to be facetious there and say to get ten points I really dont like this 10 point dangled carrot as it is a good question that makes me feel like answering it and makes me feel a bit dirty to answer something phrased this way. it also seems to demean the question. Anyway my main life goal at the moment is to find the way to engage in dissent without making it personal or getting defensive especially not victimy or whiny. I have been treated a bit shabbily on a course that I am on and I am making an official complaint and I want to do it all the way, neutrally with honour and not thinking about the winning or losing but just about the process of engagement. To do this I had some tattoo pens - kids things and was thinking of writing on my arms and over my body "Dont believe your own defence system - push though This is all about your ongoing good relationship with your self keep smiling all is well internally it s in you r own gift to deal with any pain; doubt; anger; or fear arising There is no coherent logical action from outside just defensive limitations don't blame anyone especially not your self.

You don't necessarily have to have specific goals in mind...many people go through life doing whatever they feel like at the time and eventually fall into things that just seem to fit...they often feel lost for some years, however, and tend to have more anxiety and depression than those with more secure futures.
Goal setting is important because human beings have desires, and in order to achieve those desires you have to first think about a realistic method for getting the things you want....they can be as specific as you want with the goals.

The point is that part of your destiny is to "target some goals in life." Without that, you wouldn't be able to fulfill your destiny.

We are not controlled by destiny. We control our lives. Law of attraction. You draw into your life what you want. Target your goals and quit undermining yourself and you will achieve them.

It's quite deep what homo erectus says.In fact Balsekar has a wonderful systematic and logical way of pointing it out.
