When someone needs help with their religion or faith and asks a question some people likes to make rude and hurtful remarks?
I am a very devout Catholic and I find on this site that a lot of people like to say very rude things about Catholics.
Why has people got to be cruel and say hurtful and disgusting things?
What has happened to society when some one canot ask a decent question and not be insulted?

Hi Susan, have you noticed that it isn`t so much the Atheists who mock our Catholic faith but these born again Christians? they continually make acid remarks and use scripture to tell us that we are wrong in almost every way,we have had over 30yrs of Ecumenism and it has made little difference,so just ignore them and feel secure in the knowledge that we have the one Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Not all viewers are catholic, if you asked question related to your faith of course you can receive rude and hurtful remarks because they do not believe in catholic doctrine.
Now a days, people are awake and many reads the bible.If you read the bible you can find out that Catholicism is different from Christian in the bible.
Sometimes or most time, kw owing the truth make you hurts. maybe you think. it is cruel because it offended your faith but it will serve as wake up call.
a society when can not ask decent question and not be insulted can be a bad example or influence to other. because they will think that many agrees to their indecent question. But it is better to correct them than to insult them, but sometimes they feel insulted when correcting them.

Y!A is a very anonymous site. Without real accountability, other than "being reported", the scum of the earth feel perfectly safe abusing other human beings at their leisure. They know who they are: people using a discussion board for their cheap shots!
It isn't just Catholics getting slammed either. I've seen some really hateful things spewed at Jews, Muslims, and Christians in general. There are a few homophobes on the list also ( and by "homophobe" I don't mean "any person who thinks homosexuality is wrong" either), and they routinely spit out garbage at gays and lesbians.
Without any REAL way to eliminate the scum from the fringe, we will just have to deal with it for now. Just put them on "ignore".

People lack tolerance and understanding. Others have low self esteem and need to be right and or put someone else down in order to raise themselves up. Turn the other cheek. Pray for them. Ignor the rude insults with the understanding that people can't give more than they have.

Hi susan, i hope ihave not offended you.
but most protestants dont believe that catholics have truth. and of course most christians are mocked by athiests.
The only thing that makes the catholic church valid is the faith of the patron. once the faith of that patron is reproved their faith becomes greater.
I dont believe the Pope in any generation is Infalible.
i dont believe the priesthood has a higher calling to be celibate
although without a wife a priest is more free to be a steward in his parish but he is also worse off than a married mad.
Keep your faith, but more correctly keep it with truth and sincerity.

Susan please dont worry about such people .. they are childish and ignorant
and if they arent insulting one party , they will move on to another
you keep strong in your faith ... continue to spread the love
and if you help one person through that , then it makes it all worth it
i try to remember that when i have been hurt by the words of others
i have became stronger and more determined to keep speaking out about what i believe , and to make at least one person smile each day

Some people say very rude things because they are not happy with their lot in life.
Other people have been misled and are terribly misinformed
Forgive them and pray for them.

You are just asking for them to mess with you again. Lets face it Catholics are in the middle of alot of controversy. Ya know with the priests sleeping with boys. Doesn't want to make me be a Catholic that's for sure.

Religion has humor with it that is sometimes the best way to remember. Its not easy but as the old saying goes "people attack what they don't understand".

its called the faceless Internet people,they are more bold in there insults because they can hide from face to face interaction dont worry stand firm in your faith and dont worry about idiots
