What does it mean if your boyfriend says he loves you, but you are fighting for the first time ever (and alot), he says he doesnt want to be tied down and do whatever/whenever and not feel bad. Then he says while you go away that youre on a break to think & decide what he wants. But we will remain faithful. Is he really just trying to make me dump him?

We are remaining faithful on this break, by not cheating basically. I asked him if he is happier being 'somewhat single' he said in some ways, but mostly no.
He also said that if he wanted to leave he would have. And if he wanted to end it, he would hurt me once and that would be it.
Im gone till next fri. And even though ive tried not too, Ive been texting him alot. And his lack of responces tell me he doesnt like it.
Im going to try to not text him from now till I go back. I think I have to let him come to me. And I need to stop trying to fix it, even he said that. Cause its not me, its him that has to fix it.
Im just so frustrated and sad. I hate not being able to fix it.
Most of this started when his grandpa died. Who he was very close too. He doesnt care about anything he says. Not even himself. I have to wonder if he isnt depressed?
He wants to party more too. Which is cool, but before I use to ask him to go out with his friends...cause I

~Read your question. Are you really that stupid that you need me to give you an answer? Yes? In that case, I've got this really nice swampland in Florida that you might be interested in, and I'll give it to you for no less than 12 times what I paid for it. Maybe you and your sweetie can build a nice haven there to celebrate your love of the millenium. But if all else fails, remember this: Jesus loves you - and so does old lady thumb and her four sons.

He's re-evaluating everything in his life - streamlining. And as most men trying to self-medicate with sex. Drowning his sorrows in a sea of women and then returning to center with just one. But not you. He knows you wouldn't want him after all of that!
ANSWER: Start dating before you actually break-up completely. OR at least get your face out there. You'll need the cushion/bridge to get over the inital trauma. Nothing better than getting over an old boyfriend than receiving the attention of a new love interest. Trust me it works.
Plus . . . 9 times of 10 he's already started, especially if he brought it up.

I think maybe he is taking a closer look at his life after his grandpa died and is realizing that you are not what he is looking for in a wife. If this is happening now, than I don't think marriage would ever work between you two. Otherwise he would probably be looking towards you for support and compassion from the loss of his grandpa.

Maybe he is depressed. I recognize what you have said from what I was like when my best Friend died, i just needed to have something there when I needed it. Luckily me and my boyfriend got back together, he also thought that I was trying to break us up, but perhaps he needs some time to think about things and needs a shoulder to cry on, I am sure he will be back to his normal self in no time.

your answer lies inthe additional info you have give. you know whats wrong with your guy and you also know what to do to solve tha prob but i dont understand whats stoping you from doing it?
your guy is going through a very confused pase in his life and this can happen to anyone. so he is not unfair to you. give himtime to bring his life back on track. then he will deciede what he wants to do. till then get busy. go out with you female friends whom yu have been ignoring when you were busy with your guy. spend more time with family. they would only be happy to have you amongst them. go shpping! or simply rent all those ovies that yu had wanted to watch but dint because your guy dint want to. Live life the way you want to! this positive attitude will help you survive till friday (and even longer than that) just remember, let you guy make the first move.

I don't know what he is up to but it is painfully obvious that you don't need him in your life. He is a manipulator who is playing your commitment. Take control of the situation by coming to terms with the fact that the relationship is not going to get better.

He sounds confused and you may need to brake up completely until you both know what you really want because it sounds like a game, so you and him need to talk and part ways or get it together.

Um, some people obviously need to learn that their caps lock is in fact an option to enable.
Any way, use and abuse your boyfriend for all he's worth.
