yes

1. He is the one God, Who has no partner.
2. Nothing is like Him. He is the Creator, not created, nor a part of His creation.
3. He is All-Powerful, absolutely Just.
4. There is no other entity in the entire universe worthy of worship besides Him.
5. He is First, Last, and Everlasting; He was when nothing was, and will be when nothing else remains.
6. He is the All-Knowing, and All-Merciful,the Supreme, the Sovereign.
7. It is only He Who is capable of granting life to anything.
8. He sent His Messengers (peace be upon them) to guide all of mankind.
9. He sent Muhammad (pbuh) as the last Prophet and Messenger for all mankind.
10. His book is the Holy Qur'an, the only authentic revealed book in the world that has been kept without change.
11. Allah knows what is in our hearts.

It is unfortunate that some people mistakenly believe that Muslims worship a different God than Jews and Christians, and that "Allah" is just the "god of the Arabs". This myth, which has been propagated by the enemies of Islam, is completely false since the word "Allah" is simply the Arabic name for Almighty God. It is the same word for God which is used by Arabic-speaking Jews and Christians. However, it should be clarified that even though Muslims worship the same God as Jews and Christian, their concept of Him differs somewhat from the beliefs of other religions - mainly because it is based completely on Divine Revelation from God. For example, Muslims reject the Christian belief that God is a Trinity, not only becaue the Qur'an rejects it, but also because if this was God's true nature, He would have clearly revealed it to Abraham, Noah, Jesus and all of the other prophets.

If religion IS false, it's not as if the world's a worse place because of it. Pretend for a minute that no human being EVER had any inkling that a HIgher Power ever existed. All the religious wars we've had throughout the centuries would be replaced with wars over some different idea. Religion is about making humanity's short stay on this Earth a better one.

Religion is a man made division to divide and rule. It's meaningless and most harmful too. We must think all human beings are same and there should be boundary even for the countries and states. If it become a single world, all human beings would lively more peacefully. These divisions like religions (Muslim or Christian), black & white, rich & poor, American or Chinese etc are they helping us in any way? No.
You may treat God as a POINT or DOT and concentrate on it and you would feel confidence on you.

Religion is like using a hunting bow and a stick to create sufficient heat to start a fire while there are a pack of matches in the back pocket. That is to say religion was a good idea for it's time but has long since been proven to be abused and unnecessary.

Is God(s) real? There's no conclusive answer that everybody will agree with. Anyway that's not the most important question. I think some better questions are:

Does our religion help us live better lives?

Does living by our religious principles make the world a better place?

If the answers are yes it's a good religion.
If the answers are no it's a bad religion.

Everything else is commentary.

I believe in God. God is made by Man in the image of his fears.
Millenia ago, God was the rain. God was thunder, God was an earthquake.
Today, God is gravity. God is the other side of the black hole. God is what quarks are made of.
One day, Man will strip away the last mystery and achieve complete understanding. Then he will look back and realize that his entire path was just a journey toward God.

In my opinion, organized religion is a sham.
It is composed of 2 men:
The man who enjoys manipulating others
The man who is foolish enough to be manipulated
...and his daughter, who is raised into the faith because it is the only thing that she knows.

I think it's the opiate of the masses. I mean... when people are suffering, when people don't have enough to eat, when people are disillusioned with a world with such inequity... they need something to turn to.

Religion gives them that answer and many contain the idea of a better afterlife. This is true now and perhaps was even more true in the past, when there were slaves, serfs, etc. etc. Religion gives people what they need.

I don't really believe in a God persay...I'm one of those who thinks God is more of an idea then a real thing, a great goal to strive to achieve. But I don't believe in organized religion at all, let everyone believe what they want, I don't need 200 people trying to brainwash me into believing certain specifics, plus I'm sorry to say most organized religions are full of hypocrites, they preach being good and loving everyone but they bash others for not sharing their beliefs. I think religion is something you just need to figure out for yourself and respect others for theirs.
