My belief is that one does not necessarily have to attend church to show you are a Christian. It can be done in so many different ways. It starts with thinking and caring about someone less fortunate than you.

It was our family tradition since I can remember when.

As a young teenager it used to be a great idea for a date. The cool air gave more credence to putting you arm around her shoulders on the walk home. Hehe...

Now I'm an ex-Catholic though... sowee. But I'm sure it's still fun listening to those Gregorian chants just the same.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Peace be with you.

Absolutely! But for me it's not a ritual. It's meeting my best friend, Jesus. I try to attend Mass every day and it is the climax of my day. All the more on occasions like Christmas when my best friend Jesus has His birthday...
Merry Christmas to all!

O God!
Save me from going to church and hearing Yet another sermon on the nativity. Another Movies from hollywood that distribute Romance and love between an old widower of his 60's and the sexual encounter of an unlearned maiden who did not have brothers and sisters. after jesus was born. Spare me the monotone voice of the priest as i see people falling asleep all around me who prove that going to church is very much Calling upon the lords name in vain!!!
While joseph was an OLD man when he was betrothed to this 13 or 14 year old, who was accused of fornication by the sanhredren and the pharisees, it betrays in historical fact the tradition of the nativity.
Oh yeah Jesus was married too. !!

Using the word ritual makes it seem like a cult.
