Coptic experts recognized the manuscript when they evaluated it in a hotel room in Geneva in 1983, but didn't have the $3 million asked for by the dealer.

Nevertheless, considering how religiously significant such an old document is, surely there must've been people willing to pay that price!

So I don't get how or why the document got shoved in a safe deposit box for so many years out of the hands of people able to translate it & preserve it!

The document is trash. Don't believe it just because you heard it on the television, ok. There is no gospel of Judas. We have 4 gospels that have been accepted as authentic. That is all we need. Merry Christmas!!!

With the popularity of books and films such as "The DaVinci Code," such "alternative religious sources" are all the rage these days. Works that discredit and disparage Christianity
are a big trend nowadays.

Actually, the popularity of films like the Da Vinci Code have given rise to more interest in Gnosticism. Things like the Gospel of Judas are full of bizarre claims for it and the views of Gnosticism it represents. I recommend you read the book, "Judas and the Gospel of Jesus: Have We Missed the Truth about Christianity?", by N.T. Wright, to better understand the issues.

It was hidden until the time that the multi-national antichrist banker conspirators felt that its impact on the formation of the new world order would have maximum effect. Its release has been employed by them in order to cause so-called, divided, Christianity to further be divided into the faith element and the gnostic element at this time. God has a remnant of believers and he has raised up pastors after his own heart to care for them and to expose the works of darkness so that his people might not perish for lack of knowledge in these the last days.

Man you are talking about rewriting the history of Jesus. These religious officials are not about to let that happen. That's like them saying they have been wrong all these years. They aren't about to do that.

I might be off topic. Sometimes I think that if God can create Heaven and earth, then He can certainly make His book without parts missing.
