There's a lot more to breeding than this and if you want to actually be reputable and ethical, rather than fall into the back yard breeder variety, then you have A LOT to learn before even considering this.
Check out this link to the AKC website which details guidelines on how to be an ethical and reputable breeder. If you aren't willing to follow all of these, then you really should leave the breeding to the professionals.

well being a lab hes got very stiff competition from 100s of other labs. So what makes it worthwhile to take a girl outta the show ring, hunting field, agility obedience circuit or whatever to have YOUR boys pups? What can he add to make the litter more attractive to potential buyers? Is he a major show winner, a top field dog an obedience high in trial? Cause speaking as the owner of some female dogs (not labs so don't get your knickers in a twist)- give me a choice of a national winner several 100 miles away for 100s of dollars stud fee or just another dog next doorfor free - I will head for the car keys & wallet every time. THE litter outta mr nothing special may leave me stranded for 6 months or more finding homes for them while the litter outta superdog may have a line at my doorstep at 8 weeks..... and if your boy doesnt have the health tests (hips,& CERF eyes at least) you couldnt pay ME enough to waste my girls time & effort. (yes male owners HAVE payed to have a girl have their boys pups)

You really shouldn't mate your dog. Go to a city rescue shelter and ask how many dogs they had to kill last month because of overpopulation. Looking at all the happy dogs who will be killed soon because there are too many will hopefully change your mind.

Why do you want to breed your dog? Unless your dog is exceptional has had it's hips checked, meets all conformation standards you shouldn't be breeding your dog. You will shorten your dogs life. If money is your motive? And if you really care about your dog and the puppies it's going to produce why are you asking here? If you were educated on the subject you would know where to find one. It's not on a Q & A forum.

Unless you understand the science of breeding, the costs involved, the heartache when either your female or a pup dies, the long nights, the worry and the knowledge of special nutrition, you have no right to breed dogs.
Read this to see where all your new puppies will end up:

Since I'm sure you've already done they genetic bloodwork and OFA x-rays that would deem your dog suitable for breeding (because being the responsible breeder that you must be) Then the kennel club from which your dog has its papers should be able to put you in contact with other breeders in your area.

Why do you want to mate your dog?
Get your dog de-sexed.

Put up flyers or run an add in the paper. But please make sure you are able to care for all the pups or make sure you have good homes for them. We have tooooo many dogs roaming the streets and in shelters. Good Luck. :-)
