I think you are your own person! Whether you choose to be politician or gypsy or something else entirely is your destiny.
Everyone grows to be their own person, with their own ideals, and their own choices to make. Your parents have made theirs, but it does not mean you have to follow them, you can make you can make the choice to be anything you want to be.
