why is there a delay between the audio and the visual on a video link?

that will happen when the audio and video tracts are not synchronized.

That might be a problem of internet explorer,
if u r using internet explorer, try another browse like opera, or mozilla, Netscape etc.

Light travels quicker than sound so there is a gap.
