At least five people wrote the old testament, maybe more, definately not less. The order has been worked out with references to certain things and changes in things, i don't know it offhand. The new testament is just a collection of books written by different people (each book may have been written by more than one) There were many, many books about the story of Jesus, and and the council of nicea met to determine which books would become the standard. They somewhat arbitrarily chose books. They left out the most insane ones while leaving in the slightly less insane ones that STILL contradict eachother. In fact, you will find many rediculous contradictions WITHIN each one, so they did the best with what they were working with i suppose. The books they didint choose are known as the apocrypha. Many of these books have been lost or destroyed, many are known, but are not accepted by the major churches.

Well dear I don't know about you, but I wasn't around back then. Moses wrote the first four books I believe......oh my, I meant to return a friends book to her this evening and I forgot....you know what its called? "Who Wrote The Bible"....perhaps I will read it tomorrow.

Why write more now, if God wants it he will guide one to write his words. There are enough texts out there yet to be discovered....enough ones that are known but were not included in the bible when Constantine directed a counsel he put together to choose which books would be included...those should keep us busy and lively with debate.

People didn't write the bible God did and if you are referring to Jews, they were chosen because they made a covenant with God at Mt. Sinai

Take a look at who gets abducted by space aliens now. Is it you or me?

No, it's our lady of the double-wide and toothless bubba jim.

Space aliens and archangels (and they really are just about the same thing, aren't they?) have always loved uneducated hicks.

It's not a matter of who writes. It's a matter of who accepts the writing.
