Judaism, Christianity and Islam believe there is a God. In fact their entire "Faith" is "Deo-centric".
Jainism, a little known Religion of India, believes in the Supremacy having been achieved by 21 "Thithankaras" who were mortals, and who gained Supreme Enlightnement to be Superior to God. So, too, Buddhism believes in the mortal Gautama Buddha, being Superior to God who almost fades into inexistence. The Shinto Faith of Japan and it's variation in Chinese tradition, both worship their Ancestors and have no real God Concept.
Ancient Vedic Hinduism, not to be confused with it's present peudo-Hindu superstitions which now have taken over as "Religion", was a pure Science where they had highly evolved Sciences and Mathematicals calculations which took you through a series of a very logically Process of Elimination, with many calculations that were accurate to sixteen decimal points, that concluded "Deiveyahah nirguna, nirakara" or the State of God is beyond physical and intellectual comprehension and perception! In other words, you can't even see the glimmer of God, so give up, already; and use your time for better things!
Merry Christmas!!!!!

There are many gods. Anything that is venerated, held in high esteem above all else, is a god. People worship actors, sports stars, money, collections of antiques, artwork, or stamps. Their efforts and material wealth are spent in adoration of these things and often to an extent that far outweighs the efforts of the most religious zealot. Anything can become a god if we let it.

There are many Gods...even the Bible talks about US and OUR. Either there are a few Gods or God is a split personality. I personally think that we are living in a petri dish in a high school science lab. When "God" is done we will be flushed down the cosmic sink.
I wonder if we will swirl down clockwise or counter-clockwise????

There is no God in Buddhism although there is a Deity yoga that can be practiced.
Like in theist religions you envision/become the perfect being.

Hindu's have over 660,000,000 (six hundred and sixty million) Gods.
Buddishist believe anyone can reach Nirvana.
Both are extreme, lol. But, at least with Buddishism it sounds nicer.
