Yes my two oldest brothers who are a great deal older then me both have their own families. One lives in PA and i hardly see him the last time was July 2005, the time before that Summer 2003, before that I cant even remember. My brother who lives in Louisiana I do see a bit more at least 1 to 2(sometimes 3) times a year.

i hardly ever saw them growing up, when i was very young baby or toddler they were both in College. Its a big age gap i'm 23 and they both just turned 44 and 42

My sister is six years older than I. I moved across country when I was 15 and really haven't seen much of her since. I recently moved to Egypt and made a point to return to my home state to visit all my family before the overseas move and she could barely find time to meet me during her lunch hour.

We never were close as kids and the only thing we have in common now is that we can understand eachothers experiences with our parents.

Many friends are a lot closer "sisters" than she.

If you don't see 'em, this is a good sign. I have a brother 9 years younger than me, but I annoy him because I have no friends and so always am at his house.

You don't want an older sibling that's a loser like me. You want them to have their own illustrious, full, fast-paced, busy life with constant activities and day after day of high-impact events.

I have a sister that I haven't seen or talked to in 10 years and I have a twin brother that I haven't seen or talked to in 20 years as of Feb 2007, and I haven't talked to my "mother" for 7 years.

My brother, who is older than me, I see him about once every 5 years. Mainly because I live 1000 miles from him. Also because we have very different lifestyles.
