Could be a number of reasons but based on your history some sort of laryngeal or vocal cord inflammation is most likely. If you have any associated pain I would strongly suggest you seek medical attention. (If you had "burnt your vocal cords", I doubt you would have been feeling well enough to log on to submit this question. The pain would be severe.) it's probably not a bad idea to get checked out anyway unless your symptoms resolve. If so, don't exacerbate the problem by drinking any more alcohol, acidic or hot fluids for at least several days.

See a doctor ASAP, even if you have to go into a clinic, or an emergency room. You may well have burned your vocal chords. In the mean time, do not consume dairy. Keep to a clear liquid diet if at all possible. DO NOT CONSUME ANYTHING WITH RED IN IT (example cranberry juice.) Also, for you comfort watch the acidity of foods for a while. You can also in the mean time gargle salt water. It'll hurt like a bi-otch, but at least it'll do some disinfecting.

But above all, go to the doctors, don't wait.

It sounds like you burned your vocal cords.
Sometimes burned tissue will fuse together if left to heal in contact. You probably don't need an ambulance, but you should definitely get to the ER to get checked out. Have someone go with you to speak for you if you can, but go by yourself if you have to.
