Roughly 95%. A few historical facts are present in the text, but this is no different than a novelist writing a book about a fictional unit sent to Iraq and incorporating current news in his novel.

I suppose to most people ignorance is bliss. I say the Bible is 50/50. the King James version and any other version of the Bible has its Catholic roots. The Bible was promulgated by the Roman Catholic church. So no matter how protestant you are. You cannot escape the fact of how much influence the Roman Catholic Church has on the Bible and YOU.Today's Bible is used for mass conditioing and social control. Regardless of whether the Bibles are freely given or not, it costs alot to have them printed. The Bible is full of inconsistancies and contradictions. Also the interpolations by the translators have been misinterpreted with forgeries and outright lies so as to convince the populice using the mode of fear to control the masses. The essence of what was once taught in the Bible has been obscured and layered perpetually over the centuries and millenia. Like it or not. There is more and more evidence of this coming out. And I pity these self-righteous folks. Christianity has institutionalized guilt as a virtue. How can one Love out of that? What the Bible does not teach any more is the that God and/or The Kingdom of Heaven resides within each and everyone of us. That is the Good News in a nutshell. Other than that, The Good News never got out. The church will never let you in on that. Long ago, alot of these heretics found out what the Good News was and were executed for it and of course with Jesus being the prime heretic was crucified. His message was that you too are sons and daughters of God. The Bible will remain to be a tomb in which the Good News will remain buried to the ignorant, never to get out. And so it says: You search the scriptures daily for in them you THINK you have life. Faithful followers will continue to eat the menu instead of the dinner. Blessed O you followers of the WAY for you know not what you do.
Don't forget the tens of thousands of innocent women, perhaps millions in Europe accused of witchcraft and were tortured and executed because they didn't believe in what the church wanted them to believe in. Don't forget the Inquisition in which there was genocide of many indigenous peoples all because they did not convert. Don't forget the Crusades. The raping, burning, pillaging and killing of Muslims and Jews who failed to convert. All this in the name of 'God" ? Christianity has a very dark history that alot of Christians are unwilling to admit. The Muslims and Jews are just as guilty and are unwilling to admit that they have a dark history too. It's time for people to wake up and find the cause of their ignorance. Christianity on most part is liken to the iron hand under the velvet glove. My view of Christianity has changed dramatically since my childhood. It seems to me like the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Any worship of the Bible is idolatry because it's the Spirit that gives life and letter (the Bible) that kills. 50/50 all the way. Take what you need and leave the rest.

Who knows. All it takes is one proven error or contradiction to remove any thought of it being inerrant, and there are hundreds. No one can state with any certainty that any passage in the bible is not just another unproven error in a book already proven to contain errors. This renders the book useless in terms of being a reliable source, therefore, it may as well be considered 100% BS for all the value it is.

most of what was written in the bible was based on the events of that time. Take noahs arc. around the time it was written there was a great regional flood near the red sea(could be wrong about location) and several villages were wiped out. most of it is based on real events that were turned into Fantastic Works of fiction.

If you had taken the time to READ it you wouldn't have to ask a bunch of bored strangers.
Ask this question again after you have read and studied it.
