Since God is a divine being, He will not show himself to us as we see others. You need a faith to search and look for God because He is not always easy to find.
It is not worthy enough for somebody to just believe in God because that doesn't really help anybody in the end. You need faith and works. Works are actions that a person participates in because he knows that is what God would want that person to do.

Faith is the most important thing in religion when you are indoctrinated from a religious sect so called "born again" maybe you heard their doctrine or maybe you are one of them.
We must base the answer from the bible because we are talking about religion. In the Bible their are three important thing to remain and to remember as true Christian , FAITH , LOVE and HOPE but the GREATEST of this three is Love(1Cor 13:13). So just believing is not enough, there must be love or Charity and hope. It is obvious that "born again" sect does not read the bible well. Born again sect leaders teach only faith because of their personal needs, they disregard the Love or Charity.
Faith is not enough give care also for the others to be with GOD.
Do not believe that faith is the most important thing in religion.
You can not be worthy because of faith only.
Read and understand the Bible so you will not be lost.
Demons have also faith(no joke, it is biblical). How can you say that the demon is worthy? Do demons knows LOVE or Charity? Every body knows that demons have no love and not worthy.

Your Faith is your religion and Iv had people describe religion as a substitute for the weak minded that coulnd't put a answer to everything. I dont believe that having faith in something means your weakminded. Religion can be your meaning of life. Faith can also be a lot less then just religion. Faith is believing in something for which there is no proof. (According to the dicitonary) Lets say you need to trust a complete liar and irrisponsible person with something. Example: You need that person to drop off your car somewhere. So you can have faith that the person will drop it off and not run off with it stealing it. It depends what kind of faith your talking about.

Faith is not the most important thing in all religions. In fact claims that one should "just have faith" are usually just a way for religion to make up for any challenges to their worldview.
An excellent example of this is the idea of creationism vs evolution. Science has provided clear and consistent evidence of evolution. However, this challenges the idea of Adam and Eve. Therefor, the only way to combat this (since one cannot scientifically prove Adam and Eve) is to simply have faith that they existed.
My suggestion is that if you are unhappy with a religion that demands you have faith in something your personal belief system is unable to accept, then abandon that religion for another one. perhaps one that is better suited to you.

Faith is the most important thing in religion because religion cannot exist without it. It is what keeps people from the thinking, and analyzing and logical reasoning that would expose religion as the sham it is. How else could it exist for so long and so diametrically opposed to our current state of scientific knowledge?

Faith is the beginning of religion. But remember that faith without works is dead; not only do you have to have faith in what you believe in, but you also have to have the courage and integrity to go through with what you claim to believe. If you can honestly say you are better today than you were yesterday, have made necessary corrections, and perfection is your ultimate goal, I'd say you're doing alright. The only way to have and keep strong faith is to exercise it often.

Because faith creates a psychological condition that is similiar to hypnosis, only more pervasive. Those things we take on faith become emotionally attached, not rationally attached. While we are willing and often eager to adjust a rational attachment based on evidence, an emotional attachment is extremely difficult to change or break. If religions operated on reason, people would be changing religions all the time until everyone realized they're all false. Only by tethering a religion to a faith and an emotion can its power be solidified.

Most people in this small world are measured by there faith (or belief). Havn't you had any faith when you were small. Some people who don't have faith in god (known as athiests) do not have any reason to keep themselves lawful obediant etc. So don't let your faith get down on you." Sometimes you've gotta believe things from your heart". "And remember withuot faith there is no reality".

Faith is the power of belief. You create your life according to the nature of your beliefs. You must believe in your own worthiness. You don't develop faith to please God, or follow a particular religion. You use the power of faith to move an idea from potential to actual.

Extracting from the Encyclopedia:
-------------------------------------------
"FAITH is distinct from HOPE in that Faith is typically general, rather than specific to an aspect, and in contrast to a "false hope" in a fantasy, the object of Faith typically transcends what can be proven scientifically and sometimes exceeds what can be objectively defined.
Faith can mean BELIEVING UNCONDITIONALLY. It can be ACCEPTANCE of something that one has been told by one who is considered TRUSTWORTHY. Faith, by its very nature, requires belief outside of known fact.
Faith is formed through instinct, intuition, meditation, communing with nature, prayer, or perceived usefulness of a belief system.
The raison d' etre for Faith seems to lie in the fact that to some who have attained to a sufficient depth of it, it 'works' IN LIEU OF, OR even IN ADDITION to, rational Reason, Logic and Science.
In other words, Faith and Reason to some are 'inimical' while, to some others, both work in their respective spheres and in particular sets of circumstances.
It is thus that we have scientists on the one hand - including for example top notch ones such as Erwin Schrodinger, Wernher von Braun, Albert Einstein - and religious and spiritual masters, on the other, who hold that Faith AND Reason will BOTH be NECESSARY in order to comprehend reality in all its mystery, since Reason is necessarily conditioned by just the four dimensions of space (comprising three dimensions as its elements) and time (one dimension) and as such rational Reasoning, or Faith, ALONE CAN ONLY SCRATCH THE SURFACE of REALITY.
Those who understand LIMITATIONS of Reasoning point out that the mere knowledge of the micro organisms and the macro cosmos through science and application of engineering and technology, will NEVER be able to SATISTY the DEEPEST URGES of HUMAN CURIOSITY and WONDERMENT, and even be sufficient for ensuring the survival and thriving of countless species of organic beings.
Although Faith has generated many roots in Religion, it is not necessarily a religious word and is not exercised solely in God and god alone, but CAN APPLY TO ANY SITUATION where judgments are made irrespective of evidence.
Faith in something means to have experience with that something and then, due to this experience, judging and concluding so that you can predict an action of this something in a positive way. So FOR EXAMPLE a sister may leave the house for university, she returns in three years time to find her sister has not opened her diary which she explicitly asked her not too, even though her sister had every opportunity to open it without her knowledge or consent. The older sister would now have faith in the younger sister, judging by that experience she concludes that she can predict that anything else she trusts with here sister is safe. This is FAITH.
Many noted philosophers and theologians have espoused the idea that FAITH is the basis of all KNOWLEDGE..."
...
[CAPS are mine]
---------------------------------------------
It has also been said that "FAITH is not the opposite of REASON. It is the fullness and blossoming of Reason."
Now as far as WORTHINESS goes, or someone being WORTHY, that's a whole different ball game altogether. That requires a lot more than simply Faith...
Peace be with you.
