Well, if you think she's really pretty, or you really like her, it can be common to blush...
And then there are the more obvious reasons - zipper unzipped, say something truly retarded, get caught doing something embarrassing...

It could be a spontaneous response to hormone changes when one person finds the other very attractive. Just like when the pupils dilate in the iris, capillaries in the cheeks dilate causing the flush.
