Hey Breanna,

You can find out about your dads parents. You will have to do some research, forms, and it may cost a minor amount for records. Some of the probabality depends on where you live, and if the place has open records or sealed records.

To find out, search for "Vital Record " in the YAHOO Search. Also, try "Adoption Records . First, you are looking to see what the law is where your grandparents were adopted.

Are you sure both Grandparents were adopted? That is possible, and what would be more to share in common. Check your Fathers Birth Certificate, and see what it says for parents. Then see if you can get a vital record for them.

Then, you need to look for how to register if it is a sealed state. If it is not sealed, apply for the records.

Get all the information you have on your father, and grandparents, including their adopted birth certificate, death certificate, marriage certificate. That will give you times and places and information for the forms you will need to fill out. Here are some sites that might help you, but you really need to be specific about your location.

If you really want to be hardcore, and those record-seeking efforts fall through, check out National Geographic's "Genographic Program". It runs about $100 - cheapest.

If you are indeed talking heritage, and not family tree or where your relatives are, then this is what you might want to employ. It gives all kinds of ethnic charts and phenotype / halotype stuff from a DNA sample.

If you know you are at least half European, try the DNA Print's EuroDNA. Not only gives countires, but even regions and ethnic subtleties which could link you to a very specific area, as well as tell about what else is going on outside your European Ancestry (Where in Africa, Tribe of Native American, etc.)

Firstly you will need to get their permission then request adoption files in writing from the adoption agency and hopefully the files are not closed for viewing, some times the adopting parent requests no contact. You will have to be prepared for a long, long
period of researching and wrong leads I wish you all the luck you need for this and I hope you find what you are searching.
