Your parents are concerned about your welfare. They do not know the parents of the other girl and therefore you need to get them together; be it, over the phone or in person. I'm sure when her fears are addressed she may permit you to spend the night. The first step would be to get the other girl stay with you a night or two and try to get the mothers together. Things that will set the plan back is if there are any boys involved and how your friend conducts herself while spending the night with you. The more your friend talks with your mother and/or father the better they will feel about letting you go.. The big plus here is the parents getting together and for them to make a decision as to the others level of responsibility. good luck.

If your friend's parents are going to be there and your parents have met them, there should be no problem. If your parents haven't met them, you need to arrange that, otherwise they'll never let you go. You have to understand that this is a very big deal for them and let them know that you understand it.

Give your parents the friend's telephone number, but tell them not to call unless they wish to embarass you.

You cant go . Her parents work as carnies at the county fair and will kid nap you and sell you to Canadians

Get your mum to speak to their mum, to reassure her. Its embarrassing but better than not going at all?
And give your mum the phone number for the house (shell have it when she speaks to their mum anyway)
