uni = 1
bi = 2
tri = 3
quad = 4
quint = 5
cycle = wheel
as such:
unicycle = 1 wheel
bicycle = 2 wheel
tricycle = 3 wheel
now for the odd ones:
Quadcycle: 4 wheels. (i.e. Two bikes welded side by side, the gear mechanism powers an axle at the center and the front to wheels can be steered by rotating an axle (similar to a wagon) or by moving an non-rotating axle sideways (similar to a car).
Quintcycle 5 wheels. I'm not aware of any devices with this configuration... but...
Arrange four wheels in a square (or rectangle). These wheels are not connected via axle and can spin freely. Then add a fifth wheel at the back that applies force and steers the vehicle. The vehicle should handle like a boat with an outboard motor.

The widest strongest rims I ever had were Mavic Paris/Dakar ceramics.They were bulletproof. There is a special rim that a shop I know uses that is wide and strong and uses thick spokes.It is a concave rim.They guarantee the wheel if they build it.They can build the wheel in many sizes. Jack Nauss Bicycle shop,Agricola street,Halifax ,NovaScotia. Ask for Dave Nauss,or Adam. The wheels simply dont break I hope this can be of help You'll have to 411 the number by phone or on line.

Bicycles have two wheels. Always look at the prefix, which in your case would be Bi. Tricycles have Three.

Bi in bicycle means two, so it's a two-wheeler. Tri means three, so that's a tricycle or three-wheeler.
