It's early, but screw it. If you like him, buy a SMALL gift. Just in case it goes no where &, well...

I'm from the states and I start buying the day after thanksgiving on black friday. They usually have the best deals on that day and over the weekend. I usually get most of my shopping done in that one day and even though it's fricken nutz and there is oodles of people out on that day I find it very fun to get up at 4 am and go shopping on that day EDIT i'll be starting to make soap products soon as well and i would suggest maybe find some holiday craft fares. I think now through december would be a good time to start selling. Also something i'm planning on doing is making gift baskets with holiday scented soaps, bath fizzers, bath beads, bath tea bags and maybe bodycreams/lotions. Another good idea for getting your product out would maybe be craigslist.

That really depends on how long you have known this person. If you just met them then they should understand you not buying a gift, but if you have known them a while there should be no problem with you buying something. If you do buy a gift buy something that isn't too personal.

Too early for gifts, in my opinion. If you really feel compelled to get one anyway, make it really simple.

A simple card wishing him Happy Holidays should be just fine. Being that you have only been on one date, I wouldnt spend more than a couple bucks, because you could scare him off.
