You do not have to pray to jesus to talk to god, thats hogwash and the way the church helped surpress the people. Saying they had to confess their sins to the priest and all that stuff-
I like to think that Jesus "died for our sins" because he was the only man to stand up to the church and preach the truth about love and God. Not the fear that the church was putting into everyone. The church wanted control of the people so they used God to do that, saying you will go to hell if you did not do this or do that. Jesus preached about a loving, forgiving god, and that turned people away from the current church, which took away their money, which in turn pissed off the churches. I know a lot of people have this whole "magic" idea of jesus' day, but we need to put a little reality into the situation here.
The whole answer about the gospels tho, they were written *years* after the fact even happend, so of course they are going to forget some things, and elaborate on others. Also remember that the scripture has been changed many, many, many times by kings and churches that needed to "change the rules" a little to get a little more control. Luckily the message has pretty much stayed the same, love one another, do good, forgive. remember those three things and you will fine :)

According to the Bible ,we know the authors,Matthew,Mark, Luke and John. Why would you say such a thing?
Matthew was the only one to write in Hebrew which makes sense ,since he had to be highly educated to be a Publican. The others wrote in Greek which was the common language of commerce for the previous 300 years.Luke wrote in the best Greek next to Paul.
Mark's version was the recollections of Peter, whom he accompanied,he places himself at the end at the arrest of Jesus .The lad in the linen cloth.Matthew wrote of Jesus being the King of the Jews and John as the Son of God.Luke was like a reporter. The first 4 chapters he interviews Mary and then goes on from there.Luke was a well known physician and companion of the Apostle Paul.He also wrote Acts.So your info is all wrong .He said constantly"I'm going to Jerusalem ,I will be handed over to the gentiles and then killed" He knew very well what his mission was and he did so "for the joy that would come"Hebrews 12 and 13.He was raised for our justification.
When He said in the Garden"Father if it be possible, take this cup from me,not as I will but you will".
He was talking about taking the sins on Him.He was perfect and the idea of all that sin was sickining. But he did it because he loved us that much.
John was his cousin and close companion as he states in his Gospel(The one whom Jesus loved,he calls himself, and not in a HOMO way)

Hi Sweetheart. I love my dearest and most precious Lord and heaven forbid that I turn my face to his only begotton son, Jesus. Our faith is what helps us understand the 'whys' in life. At this point in time, there are many unknows like where the Universe ends, how the world started, birth. I have to believe that there is a God who created the world and sent his only begotton Son into this world to save us. I have felt the love of God, the mother of Jesus, and the power of Jesus Christ. If our faith is strong, we should not question God but learn from Him. He has helped me in numerious ways that today I could have never surpassed circumstances without His help. I pray that you will experience the healing powers of the blessed trinity and accept the Son of God, Jesus. Happy Birthday My Saviour! Let us rejoice and be glad.

Contrary to your statement, the authors of the Gospels are well known. They were written by the men whose names appear on them, The gospel according to Matthew, The gospel according to Mark, Luke, John ect, ect.
Yes you are confused, perhaps you should read the accounts and then your confusion might diminish. There is no easy path to knowledge, you must not be a lazy student, you have to do the reading.
And Jesus didn't die because he spoke against a Roman ruler, the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate could find no fault in the man that would be cause for execution. He was killed because the members of the Jewish Sanhedrin paid false witnesses to convict him of Blasphemy, but they had no legal power to carry out a death sentance because of Roman Rules. That is why they had to bring him to Pilate, because Pilate was the only person who could order a death sentance. Interestingly this "trial" of Jesus was carried out in secret in the middle of the night without Jesus being allowed to have defense witnesses. After Pilate refused to condemn him the first time they took him before Herod, who also refused to condemn him and sent him back to Pilate again. Then Pilate became afraid of a rebelion of the Jews that would have almost certainly ended in his own execution, caved into pressure, ceremonially washed his hands of Jesus' blood, and ordered Jesus' execution.

One more thing to add, & you can take it as a question to think about. If this was the case with Jesus as considering him the son of god, why don't we consider Adam the same? No father...No mother...then...!!
My own belief is that Jesus is a Prophet like many prophets who were sent to earth by our creator (God) with one messege to the human race - which is to believe in god. There are offcourse differences between prophets besides each one of them was tied with his own meracle(s). So, why did we consider Jesus only as the son of god while some of the other prophets were much more powerfull (meracles, beliefs...etc)?
My short answer is that the more you know & read about the history of earth & prophets, the more you get the full picture.
Guys/Gals - please consider this as my own believes & you're more welcome to discuss or go check what I've been discussing yourself.
Cheers...

Hey man, seek true guidance, read below
[004:171] O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of God aught but the truth. The Messiah 'Ãsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of God and His Word, ("Be!" – and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh) created by Him; so believe in God and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For God is (the only) One Ilâh (God), Glorified is He (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And God is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.
[004:172] The Messiah will never be proud to reject to be a slave of God, nor the angels who are the near (to God). And whosoever rejects His worship and is proud, then He will gather them all together to Himself.

Ah the $64,000 question.
the short story on the lead question. Jesus was a physical human being with a soul that was created by the CREATOR of all things. just as yours was.But he came with a definite mission . To be the Messiah that the Jewish religion had been praying for.
We are all prodigal children of the CREATOR.
He died in part because he preached a different view that the other Rabbis did not like as it threatened their positions of power.
His dying for our sins was added on by the Early Christian Church founders. that wanted to control their congregations through fear and shame that we allowed that to happen to him. His message was one of love and forgiveness.

If you check out Greek mythology you will begin to understand how.
God in the Gospels is Zeus, and you can see Zeus in the Acts of the Apostles 14:12-13, if yours says Jupiter it triesd to cover up Zeus with Jupiter which is the Latin version of Zeus.

My dear the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John)..
We know who wrote them. Matthew, Mark and John were apostles of Jesus Christ. Luke was a Greek Doctor that interviewed many people including the apostles, Mary (Jesus' mother) and Mary Magdalene to name a few.
The apostles were with Jesus. They were taught by Jesus...they were with Him when He healed the sick and case out demons, raise the dead, taught and arose from the dead.
I believe them because they were there. They saw it with their own eyes. Heard Him (Jesus) with their own ears...
God is not the author of confusion.
I would recommend reading the book of John. That would be a great place to start.
Stop listening to people that are trying to confuse you and listen to God and His Word. Study His Word...seek Him earnestly and you will find Him...

Author John....
John 3:16-18
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
17God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.
18"There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God.
