I've been in a LDR with my partner for just under a year now...I live in Sydney and he's in Cleveland, OH...and I'm missing him really badly during the holidays :( Does anyone have any advice on how to get through them without him?

What I meant by without him is without him physically being here.
I talk to him usually every day on the phone so that's not an issue apart from when I can't reach him.

You have the strength to stay strong. And I know you can do it. Be thankful you have someone who loves you, that your both healthy, and that you are together despite the challenge. Surround yourself with loved ones and good times, help distract yourself.
This will be my 3rd holiday without my boyfriend, and I am staying as positive as I can. I won't let distance destroy what we have. Physical love is different from true love. If you miss his hugs, kisses, and embrace then it's only physical. If it's more..then you will be able to keep a strong and healthy relationship despite. Be thankful you can call each other, hear eachothers voices.
I wish he and I had at least that...and if I managed 3 yrs...you can manage one.

But I thought you were still together..so why would you want to get through the holidays without him? Just keep in contact with him on the phone. And hang out with your friends to keep from getting lonely.

OK i know what u feel my gf doesnt live over seas but i dont see her alot. Listen just talk to him and try to bring him cheer during this stressful holiday ok? if u just talk to him.

keep in touch with him..my boyfriend is on the other side of the world right now, im dying, too. I talk to him online and stuff..but at the same time i try to keep myself busy with my friends and family too. :( i know how tough it can be, hang in there...

I did it. I asked her to marry me, and she accepted. Then I knew that I had the one that was going to be faithful. I wrote her a lot of letters.
