Make her a present!!! Homemade presents are always cheap and your sister can't be dissapointed with that. If she is just use the old excuse "But i made it myself" She can't get mad at that.

Once you give someone a gift...consider it gone. If she regifts then that's her business. At least she thinks your gifts are good enough to pass on to someone else.
So she gives you something cheap for Christmas...so what? Be grateful that she is alive and able to share the holidays with you. Don't concentrate on the negative and don't "return the favor" and give her cheap stuff out of spite. That is not what Christmas is about.

Does she have money problems? Maybe on the flip side she is frustrated because you buy pricier things and she can't afford to do the same. Maybe you could suggest getting things only for the kids instead of for each other. Then she can concentrate on fewer gifts. Maybe she is just cheap, in that case it might be fine to reduce the gifts you give (especially to her and her husband)

If you are keeping a tally on the value of the gifts each Christmas, I suppose it should be something you deal with.
Different strokes for different folks. Personally, I don't care if I get anything or not. As long as they give me stuff during the year, I don't even figure on anything at Christmas.
That isn't the reason for the season.
But that is just my opinion. Maybe your value system is just different.

Do you have more money that she does? Perhaps she cannot afford to get you the kind of gifts she would like to. Christmas is supposed to be about giving for the sake of giving, not comparing who gave a better gift. If you are not giving her gifts simply out of the goodness of your heart, then you might as well not give her a gift at all.

at least she is giving you something?is that what christmas means?getting expensive gifts?be thankful for whatever she gives, maybe thats all she can afford, and she is thinking you have everything,if you don't like the gift she gives you each time,be honest with her, tell her next time a card will do.so you spare her the worry of shopping for your gifts.

No - don't stoop to that level. Some people are just cheap. They may be good people in other ways. 'Tis better to give than to receive. Keep giving her things you think will make her happy. Just because you love her. Merry Christmas.

Maybe your sister is in some kind of unpleasant financial situation that you aren't aware of. Anyway, if you buy gifts from your heart, you shouldn't expect equal reciprocation....you just give.

Actually the only reason my brothers ever gave me something nice was to one up me. Yeah, actually I think it would be a kind act to try to match her instead of beating her. Personally I like our new system better though. Nobody gets anyone anything.

She wants to do something nice for you and to her it may be pretty nice. So you should accept what you get as an offering f good will. Merry Christmas.
