Mwahaha the ghost is going to haunt you.
Just kidding.
Hmm my TV did that to me once. Maybe the electrical connection was being gay. =[

If you had lights on in the room too and none of them flickered, then it may be that the socket your television is plugged into has been improperly wired.
Extension cords can have poor contact and the slightest wiggle causes a quick shut down. Television sets don't like little short shut downs.
Poor contact in one of the two wires that give juice to your wall socket can cause power to drop, suddenly, when other connections in the place that are good keep a steady current of Amps.
This can happen whenever the power companies supply drops a little too much and only causes a slight power outage.
You can have an electrician check it.
In the meantime move your televisions plug to another socket.

Booooo Creepy Haunted House answers.....
Hooray Logical TV repairman!
Just Kidding....TVs have Microprocessors that can automatically shut off the TV....Some have clocks with Auto Shut-off (if yours is active, it will shut off EXACTLY the Same time)
Some TVs have Loose Connections that Shut off the TV when it's been running for 20 minutes or longer...A TV repairman can do a cheap repair on loose connections...
------------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TIGHT is your AC cords and receptacles?? I see too many Heavy Cords attached to AC grounding Adaptors attached to a Flimsy 3 outlet adaptor....ATTACHED to a sloppy old AC receptacle with ABSOLUTELY no TEETH to the inner Springs!!
All of the above will just exacerbate the connection problem....
I have told SEVERAL customers to GET a NEW GROUNDED wall socket for less than a dollar, Get a 6-way AC receptacle that mounts to the AC wall socket with a long machine screw for $4.00 and what do they do???
They sit on their Fatty FatAsses and do nothing....then wonder why their TV failed 2 years after being notified to CHANGE the AC RECEPTICLE....
But hey....I'm not afraid to turn off a circuit breaker and rewire an outlet....I gotta keep in mind some are...
ARE YOU?
If so, get an outlet bar with a 3 foot cord....that takes the pressure off the Wall socket....but doesn't fix a LOOSE wall socket no matter what....
One of the 3 is causing your TV to shut off....
As far as I'm concerned....If it did it once..twice...No Big Deal
But if it's doing it Regularly....GET IT FIXED Before it becomes an expensive repair due to STRESSING THE PARTS.
