Not at all. I had one at 19. Don't compare yourself to others.

I was the same exact way. I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 18. But for me, I think it was an insecurity thing, and even though it's easy for me to get a boyfriend now, I'm remaining single b/c my issues with insecurity and low self esteem have led me to date guys who are not good for me. Hopefully you don't have issues like that, but I certainly hope you don't end up dating a guy who comes on strong and moves fast and convinces you that you should be together, and in reality, he is a pig or someone who is not actually taking his time to get to know you before he decides he wants to date you. Being friends is best, so you're doing the right thing. maybe one of those guys you're friends with will start to see you differently, if he doesn't already. maybe, too, you are too beautiful and they are intimidated!

Nature abhors a virgin - a frozen asset.
The art of procreation and the members employed therein are so repulsive, that if it were not for the beauty of the faces and the adornments of the actors and the pent-up impulse, nature would lose the human species.

No it's not weird at all, and if anything, I think it shows maturity on your part- that you're not willing to settle for anything less than what you know you want.
You know how to protect yourself emotionally.
Keep on trugging! Don't get discouraged and settle for any guy- 'cause doing that would surely bring down your self-esteem and make you question your own self-worth!

Nah I don't think it's weird. I've had plenty of boyfriends but they were never serious. Perhaps you just haven't found the right fish in the sea yet -- but you will!
Good luck!

No it is not. My niece is 17 and has lots of friends (guys and girls) just no special guy she is interested in yet. It is silly to have a boyfriend just to say you have one. Continue to be choosy:)

Rebecca St. James is a Christian single girl who is nearing 30; she has never married and is still a virgin. SHE doesn't think it is unusual! Check her out!
