Quick background, we have been together almost a year and moved in together in a couple months ago. My wish list consisted of a bracelet, pendant necklace, earrings, cookbooks, etc. To my dismay he gave me an early present, an iPod. He thought I could run with it even though he knows I already have a shuffle for that, I guess he thought this was better. I didn't want to hurt his feelings so I happily accepted it and was determined to make the best of the gift. We took it on vacation but in all honesty I just have no need for it. It is 250 that I would rather have towards something I can really use. Then 2 days ago he asked if I want accessories for the iPod for Christmas...I clearly stated 'no' but I come home today to a new stereo made just for the iPod and a travel adapter so I can use it in the car! I am at a loss, what do I do?!

Appreciate the fact that you have a boyfriend who wants to buy you all of those gifts and thinks about you that much...

in this situation i think the best thing to do is just tell him the truth. Be like "hey i was htinking, and i really appreciate the the iPod, but i mean i already have the shuffle, and i dont think i really have much use for htis one, you know?" make sure you tell him that it was soo sweet and you relaly like it but u think the money could be put towards something else that you might be able to use more often.

he probably would rather u tell him what you rlealy want rather than spending money on smathing you dont really need. he just wants to make u happy.

at least he's buying you something. Maybe he hates wish lists and wants his present to be a surprise. Maybe he thinks you are more like him than you really are. Try to appreciate him and do what us guys do, go out and buy yourself what you want.

in my opinion, if ur bf gave a gift its not important what he gave u ,,,the thing which is important is he wants you to know that he cares about u and loves u ....

accept it with a smile and give him a kiss and a hug for his troubles. Later you might work on what you mean when you say 'nope'.
