there's never been mention of them in history?

Do you believe in unicorns, vampires and smurfs too or is that just too crazy?

I have read the bible cover to cover and no magic spells are in it (except for that wine thing and the bringing back from the dead thing but J. never said Abracadabra). Why do Xians believe in magic spells and curses?

What's wrong with you people? You really think there were witches in Salem?

I'm shocked how you ever reached adulthood. I weep for this planet.

The Giants and magicians talked about in the bible are symbols, not actual giants and creatures.

The bible was written many years ago before we had the knowledge that we do today. Some people, when reaching a very old age may have forgot or exaggerated their age so those that write the bible say they were thousands of years old. No one has ever lived for thousands of years, despite what you'd like to believe the bible says. It is an exaggeration, caused by lack of knowledge on the scribes part.

Maybe if some of you bible scholars knew as much about the history, culture and society the bible was written in you'd understand it better.

I have to explain everything.

If Xians believe in magic spells, devils and mystical, immortal creatures how come?
there's never been mention of them in history?

>Because the Bible DO mention (not only once but several times in several books) magicians, magic charms, magic spells, magic, enchanters, sorcerers, sorceries, curses, divination, secret arts, etc. etc. in the books of Genesis, Exodus, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Acts, Revelations...

>there is also mention of giants and other creatures we know little about (such as leviathans)... and other similar stuff in there... (but of course, there wasn't any smurfs in there)

>and of course secular books also mention all those & more throughout recorded history

I don't know about secular history but Satan and his demons. I say his demons because they put themselves on his side when they decided to join him in his rebellion to God they are mentioned in the Bible and they do exist satan and his demons that is, and they are causing a lot of havoc on the earth these days especially because they know that they are very soon to be bound up in the Abbyss, rendering them helpless, nod no more able to influence human beings, so they are all trying their hardest to confuse and blind as many people as they can now before they cannot do that anymore!(2Corinthians4:4)

I believe in Smurfs but I have my suspicions about Poet Smurf. I believe in umpires I've seen them many times at baseball games. Oh, you meant the blood -sucking creatures of the night. Well, I also believe in lawyers.

because recorded history is recorded mostly by Christians. and to record any evidence of Mystical creatures would go against their bible, and thus be heresy.
