She has a stopped up nose and is breathing through her mouth. Because of this she is drooling a lot. Is it a cold and if so how should I treat it?

Take her to the vet she may have something wrong with her, I hope it isn't Cat Flu has she been vaccinated. She could have an Abscess or something she inhaled in her nose like a grass seed. Don't give her anything that isn't prescribed for animals you may hurt her more.

Take her to the vet. She may have allergies or a cold. If she has clear mucus there isn't much the vet can do its probably a virus but if she has yellow or green discharge from her nose she's gotten a secondary infection which can be treated with antibiotics. Try running a vaporizer for her with some eucalypt us to help her stuffy nose. be sure she gets plenty to drink. Some cats will lose their appetite because they can't smell the food. Good luck & do take her to the vet.

Is her nose hot? Normally cats that dont feel well will just sleep it off. But if thats not working then get to the vet. There really isnt that much you can do from home. The drooling is what concerns me. Is your cat an indoor or outdoor cat? Let me know. Dont give your cat anykind of nosespray or drops, it might make her worse.

poor kitty. Warm steam may help unclog stuffed up nostrile. Turn on the hot shower in your bathroom and make it really steamy. Then get your poor kitty and sit with him on your lap in the bathroom (not in the shower) for 10 or so mins. This may help. Do it every now and again when his nose seems really clogged up.

Crush half a 100mg Vitamin C pill and mix it with his food. This is to help his immune system get strong.

Keep kitty in a warm place with no drafts. Absolutely no-going outside.

If you have a kitty thermometer, take his temperture. I think 101 -2 is normal. If kitty has a fever, then he could have respiratory infection and needs to see the VET right away.

It could be a cold, sinus infection, or even a viral infection. I would advise getting her to a vet, so that the problem could be pinpointed and treated. They will most likely try to treat it with either antibiotics first, or an anti-viral medication, but I don't think it's something you can treat at home without the proper medicine.

Her nose must be blocked. Give it some nasal drops. That is what I did once to my dog.

Get to a vet asap, please. It is better to spend the money for a check up and be safe then to be sorry. Please go to a vet.
