Basically... You cook on a med/low temp with the lid on. You will want to cook the chicken for 25-30 min. After about 12-15 min turn the chicken. Next.... wait another 10 minutes and turn it back..and take the lid off and cook another 5 min.
This should keep your chicken from burning. Also always use a thick pan. Thin pans burn everything.

Try using an electric skillet or electric fryer so yo can control the temp. 350 to 375 degrees is the right temp. Also try having your chicken at room temp before you start cooking it. Use a good vegetable oil or shortening like Crisco or Mazola. If the crust is looking burnt before the chicken is done you're frying it too fast.

Fry it until the coating is set and starting to brown. Transer to pyrex casserole and bake it. This gets all the extra grease out and I think it tastes better, too.

try partially cooking it in the oven first-like the night before- so when you batter or bread it and put it in the pan it doesn't have to be in there as long.
