Good day. I'll be doing some online business like selling membership. So there's no physical objects exchanged between me and my customers. What can possibly cause credit card chargeback? I heard that many are exploiting this system. Just in case it happens, do you recommend joining third party chargeback recovery service?

As long as they are using a credit card you are at risk for a charge back. The only thing you may do is go through Paypal which guarantees exemption from certain charge-backs (not sure if there is a limit to this or not) or find some way to get people to pay with debit cards which cannot be charged back.

Cheers

If the transaction did not go through and it did not post to your credit card statement, then there's nothing for you to worry about. The concern of the merchant seems to be they thought that the transaction went through and your card issuer processed a chargeback since proper authorization was not obtained. Merchants are afraid of chargebacks, ofcourse their banks charge them a fee each time a billing dispute arises.

What can cause it is if a customer calls the credit card company and disputes the transaction. You might talk to some of the credit card companies to see what their policies are.

If you don't deliver on the item, the person will dispute it on their credit card and there will be a chargeback. Just do what you promise and you won't have to worry.
