My mom wants to cook or bake this spiral fully cooked ham. She does not how to do this, she has never "glazed" a ham nor have I. We don't know if we should glaze it or what. Don't know if this matters or not, but it does have a bone in it. So is there anybody out there that could help us with this. By the way, mom is 72, so I am not a kid either my self.

most of the fully cooked spiral hams have a package of glaze included with the ham or a recipe on the label.

since it is fully cooked you only have to reheat it and since it takes a long time to heat it thru, the outside meat can get a little dry before the inside is heated.

since my family is small, i just cut off as many slices as we will want and in a skillet over low heat i heat up the slices in some glaze.

the rest of the ham is still perfect for reheating another day (maybe with a different glaze) or just eating cold on a sandwich.

good luck and merry christmas.

Since it is already fully-cooked, you just need to juice it up a bit. Take a can of pineapple rings and drain the juice in a bowl, add brown sugar to it until it becomes thick but not solid. You want to be able to drizzle it over the ham later. Then take whole cloves and use them to pin the pineapple rings to the ham. Put maraschino cherries in the center of ring and hold on with toothpick. Then drizzle glaze over it and bake for approx. an hour. This will help the taste to get all the way through and it will be juicy and delicious. Re-apply glaze a couple of times during baking time. Bake at 350. Good Luck!!

There is a sticker on the flat side of the ham that tells you how big it is and that it is a spiral cut ham, peel that off. The directions are under that sticker/label.
