not a chance will it be free.. it will be about 150 -250 dollars depending on what version you buy. then you will probably have to ugrade your computer including a new video card to use all the features you paid for, maybe even buy a new computer if it is more than 3 years old. I'm saying goodbye to windows forever because if it. Ubuntu linux is more stable, suffers from virtually no viruses or spyware, its a lot cooler looking, completely customizable, and relatively easy to use. It takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it you'll never go back to windows. Linux rocks

Windows Vista is already out but your computer has to be compatable with it. If you have a newer computer it might be compatable but you can go to Microsoft.com and run a program that will tell you if it is compatable or it will tell you what you need to make it compatable.

It will come out whenever microsoft decides its good enough to be shown to the public, and it will not be free. i think the cheapest version is around $150, definately not worth it yet

No, it's not free. It'll come out to the public in about a month or so.

Only you are freely used by Microsoft for testing their product and they don't give anything free.

Guinea pigs and rats always get free medicine.
