I have two tattoos and I got them at the same time two years ago.
I have three son's and my first tattoo is three blue footprints.
This one is on my right ankle and the footprints are different
colors of blue ranging from light blue to dark blue. I wanted
more - like there names or birthdates but the bigger the tattoo
the more money it cost. Someday I will get another tattoo
with my son's names/and or birthdates by the footprint
that represents them.
The second tatto is on my lower back. It is a broken heart with
my husbands name on it. I got this two years ago (same day as the first tattoo) after we we separated. If we get a divorce or stay together either way I don't and won't regret the tattoo. If we don't get a divorce I can always just get the broken heart fixed to a regular heart.

#1: Butterfly on middle of chest and i got it as a symbol for new life (4 months preg. with 1st child right now). No, I don't regret it because it will always remind me of my daughter.
#2: Heart on stomach and I got it because it's cute and sexy. I don't regret that one either.
#3: A tribal with a rose on my lower back (got it the same day that I got the heart: 2 for 1 special). I kinda regret that one because I saw something else that I would rather have than that in that spot...but other than that no regrets.
#4: My name on my left arm (my very 1st tattoo when I was 19). I got that one because my friend came and showed me hers and I wanted one too. I don't regret it but I hate walking through the mall and people that I don't know call my name just because they can read (the tattoo on my arm)

i got a tattoo when i was 18. now i am 34 and even though my tattoo is on a discreet place ( ankle) and a nice design ( a simple, black egyptian eye), i regret getting it . tattoos are nice when you are very young, but after a certain age it just becomes ridiculous.
one should never do permanent things. now i am getting this tattoo removed with ruby laser and it hurts much more than getting it done. plus it takes a few treatments to totally remove it. each treatment needs an interval of 3 to 4 months and believe me, it hurts so much after the laser application you really think twice about going back. but once you begin, i guess it is better to have an entirely removed tattoo than a partially faded one.

I have a fairy on my leg (my display picture) and a baby angel on my foot. what inspired both of them is I've always loved angels and fairies. The fairy on my leg is based on amy browns "bubble rider" I saw it one day and instantly knew I wanted that as a tattoo someday. But then I saw a sun/moon that i really liked...so I had to decide which i wanted. Well in the bubble rider, she's holding on to a bubble...so I took the sun/moon i wanted, and had that put in the place of the bubble. My tattoo artist also asked if I wanted to keep the colors the same or change them. I told her to do what she wanted because she was an expert, and I trusted her. In the end I got a tattoo I couldnt be happier with. My best friend and I got our tattoos at the same time so we got little matching butterflies as well. My angel was just something i really liked so I got it. Im going to get another fairy on my other foot and maybe another angel/fairy on my other leg.

Got my first at age 38 when I became single and FREE.
I now have 23 of various kinds and no regrets!
Oh, and NEVER get a spouse or significant other's name for a tattoo. Your child or your sibling or parent... all safe. But tattoos will almost always outlast a relationship.

I don't have a tattoo, but that is only because of lack of funds! I love tattoos :) I plan on getting at least 3 of them. One on the back of my shoulder, one above my ankle, and one on my pelvic area ;)
I don't know exactly what I'm going to get for each, but it will be something small, something in a fantasy type of creation, and colorful.

I have 5 tattoos. The one I love the most was inspired by the things my daughter loves the most. I have her name, surrounded by music notes, flames and stars, all in her favorite colors. My second favorite is my tribal armband for my heritage.
