I prefer handmade quilts made with love :o)
Machine made quilts don't appeal to my heart in the same way - I am not concerned when a machine made quilt shows wear and begins to fall apart, where I have a greater respect for the time and effort involved in making a handmade quilt and take greater care.

As far as I'm concerned, when I make a quilt using my sewing machine, it is "handmade." I didn't buy it in a store. Hand piecing and hand quilting is beautiful, and I certainly respect those who make them, but machine pieced and quilted work is also beautiful and should be respected in it's own right. There are things that can be done with a machine that could never be accomplished by hand.

i make quilts by machine and i put alot of time in my quilts and try to personalize them for who I'm giving them to. machine made quilts doesn't mean they are made with less love. if you can make a handmade quilt i applaud you. i would never have the patience to hand sew. i would be devastated if the person i gave a quilt to that i made didn't take care of it because it wasn't handmade

I can't afford a handmade quilt, but they are of superior quality.

I like both types, especially in soft warm colours complementing baby decor. These quilts are the heirlooms to treasure. Good luck and have happy holidays.

i like both check pottery barn they have the best quilts little pricey but worth it
