I wasn't going to answer this question until I saw normobrian's answer and I couldn't keep quiet after reading his drivel. He is utterly wrong about most of the assertions he makes.
First of all, no language can be called "the best". All languages have their own distinct culture, and calling one culture "better" than others is the worst of chauvinism.
Of course there are concepts which can be better expressed in English than in other languages, but the same applies to Arabic, Mandarin Chinese or German, for that matter.

i won't say but you're going to end up with a language that, grammatically speaking, is superior in verbal aspect (eg, latin present indicative active is used for three variants of the english equivalent - therefore english is superior to latin in aspect), and has the least anbiguity. so, look no further than sanskrit, which indeed means 'polished' or 'perfect language'. except it isn't spoken anymore...

English is the most expressive language. Look at a McDonald's cup. They say 'I love it' in a dozen different languages, but none of them can say "I'm lovin' it". The other languages just don't have that capacity. Other languages don't have the same expression or inflexion that English does.
English is the only language that can distinguish between 'I am', 'I will be', 'I have been', 'I will have been', etc. Other languages must use context to distinguish between tenses, sort of.
In English, any word can become a verb, and any verb can become a noun. English allows for a lot more interpretive, insinuated meaning than other languages. Just take rap music, for example.

Silence, because all forms of communication spring from it.
Music, that symbolizes quite well a non-volitional type of thinking and can convey "meaning" without the use of concepts.
The same is true of the meaning conveyed thought the eyes of people, generally from an emotional code.
and then...hum, Swahili, because my complete lack of understanding of it allows my imagination to run wild.
