I would spread the sour cream on the top. I had a cheese recipe that called for that. It actually adds an interesting contrast when the cake is cut. But I would taste it before tossing it, you may be pleasantly surprised.

I've honestly never heard of putting sour cream IN a basic cheesecake recipe. You don't mention putting any sugar in it, either. The basic cheesecake recipe calls for:
2 pkg. softened cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 - 9 in. graham cracker crust
Bake 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Cool. Refrigerate 3 hours.
Or another alternative recipe calls for:
2 pkg. (8 oz.) softened cream cheese
3 eggs
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 - 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 - 9 in. graham cracker crust.
Bake 300 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Cool. Chill for 3 hours or overnight.
Both can be topped with sour cream and baked an additional 5 minutes.

I've never cared for that sour cream topping on cheesecake, go ahead and serve it without, it will be good.
Spooning a little fruit sauce over it is much better.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://biturl.im/aU0nA
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Did it call for it to be mixed in or put on top? My recipie calls for it too but, it goes on top of the cheesecake. Bake it an additional 5 minutes, and chill. Top with your favorite topping. No one will know the difference.

Yes. It will be sweeter and perhaps a little lighter. What about the flour, or didn't you use any? If not, then it will probably fall in on itself after baking. So the finished product would be a little denser but edible.

I left gas out of my car it is worth driving? Come on! It's cheese cake! If all else is questionable cut it and eat a piece if it tastes like hoobistank don't serve it if it is good then melt some chocolate on each piece and garnish with mint leaves they will be impressed.

You could always slice the cheesecake up and separate the pieces on a larger platter... This way you can take a taste to test it yourself. No one will ever know, and it will look great! :) Hope it's good...
Merry Christmas, God bless!
