I experimented a bit with a short term boyfriend when I was 16 and have regretted it ever since. I didn't lose my true virginity though until I was 18, on birth control, just graduated from high school, and have only done it with my now fiance' whom I was then with for over 6 months. So I don't regret that. No, I didn't tell my mom; but she kept pestering me about it, because I started gaining a lot of weight because of the Depo birth control shot I was on then and she was afraid I was pregnant. I wasn't. If you and your bf are comfortable waiting, then I'd encourage you to. You'll know when it's right for you. Pat your bf on the back for not pushing you into anything.

Everyone always assumes they will regret losing their virginity. But what happens if you save it for marriage and then regret not experiencing more when you could?

As long as you are with someone you care about (and practice safe sex) and make it special it will be.

I think 16 is the youngest a person should be to lose their virginity for emotional reasons.

I lost it when I was 18. I did not regret because I trusted my guy. It was the sweetest thing. I did told my mum and she was understanding about it. Right now, I am still with this guy and will be marrying him 2 mths from now.

So, it's not about regretting or not regretting, it's about your own choices. Nobody can force you. Once you give it away ,then so be it. I am not encouraging you to be promiscuous, but sometimes it just happens naturally.

IF you are really uncomfortable with it, then wait...Sex is definitely worth waiting. Remember, your man shouldn't use sex to blackmail you. My guy left the choice to me before I consented, because i am ready at that time.

For my mum, she was quite peeved at first when i told her, but she was confident that my guy was a good man because he cared for me. IT's not considered stupid if you tell your mum.

I think ur 16 sweetheart, which is a more acceptable age. If u tell ur mom u obviously don't have enough excitement in ur life and mom w/ that info will probabally spice things up for you. What if u get warts? Or The Bad Rash? Or the hiv? Or something else soap won't wash off?

WAIT, girl, WAIT. Trust me on this. I lost my virginity stupidly. I was really really overprotected to a point that I literally knew nothing of the world because my family was so damn conservative. My mom and my step dad are further apart in years than my first, and my first was a grown man who really should have known better than to lie about his age to a teen. I did not tell my mom because she would have killed me. No, that was a huge no no in my family.

don't have sex at this age. i'm telling u, u'r gonna regret it if u do. i think it's too early. and like some1 else said, u won't be able to handle it emotionally. just wait til u r ready. do it around 20-21. just wait. plz. i know that there is peerpressure, but still. it's stupid. don't be like ur best friend. just wait.

I was 14 and I never told my mom about it...( The woman was 34 ).
You are 18 and you can have all the sex you want and you
never have to tell your mom about it...
In fact, if you were 16 or 17, you could still have sex and never
tell your mom about it...
Do you think your mom wants to hear about your having sex ?
