I used to take Capoeira, but then my gym stopped offering it. I was having fun and the nearest class (same mestre) is about 30-45 minutes away, the grupo is Capoeira Brasil. Is it worth it?

It depends on how much you want to continue to learn that art. Does the gym offer other martial arts classes? Maybe look into another art as an option. I would not use the fact that it is farther away or maybe teach slightly different style of it as a reason not to persue your training. Most martial arts do not vary from dojo to dojo as far as the techniques of that particular art goes. The intensity or rate at which the techniques are tought or practiced however could vary greatly.

What is your reason for taking Capoeira. Most Capoeira Regional schools (which is the style that "capoeira Brazil" is) are high energy and they appear to have a lot of fun. If "fun" is your goal, then any Capoeira Regional school would be fine. This style is mostly a show and a sport.

If you want a Martial Art, find Capoeira Angola. Be careful though because just because someone claims to teach Capoeira de Angola does not mean that they actually know it. Very few "Angola Schools" know the actual "Martial" aspect of the art. they only know the "Game."

What ever your reasons, don't let distance keep you away from the art.
