I was born and raised in Toronto, but have not been back sinse my family moved to L.A. california. Twenty six years. I remember the castle. Is it still there, and if so what has happened to it?Does anyone know the history of the castle?

Yes, it's still open to the public at certain times. Casa Loma was built by a rich man. I believe he was named Sir Henry Pellatt and he built it for his wife who unfortunately died quite early. It isn't as old as you might think. I think it was build in the early 20th century (but I'm doing this off the top of my head remembering the field trips I took.)

Oh yes, it's definitely still there. The government gets loads of money from it, so I don't think it's going anywhere.
