Consult an orthopedic surgeon at a major teaching hospital. There may be corrective procedures, or there may not. The person in question would need to be examined, of course, and his/her needs and expectations evaluated.

First off, there is no such thing as "normal". Everyone, no matter how they look, are normal. But, as for surgery to correct physical abnormalities, you could get prosthetics for the hand and finger. I've also heard of a few midgets that have gotten leg "extensions". It was only a few inches, though. You should research a few good surgeons and hospitals all over the country, with any luck, you'll find a surgeon that'll be able to do the surgery. Just, consult a few good doctors. I hope that everything works out....good luck.

A midget IS " normal ". When one is born with certain physical appearances, there is a limit to how much surgery can be done of change if desired. My suggestion, work on the the attitude inside. If people have a problem relating with how a person looks ' different ' ". . . well, don't make their problem your problem. I know many who look 'society normal' and how they are inside, I don't want to even be breathing the same air space. Another guy I know who is a midget, he is has the greatest humor and heart...his and my airspace can be shared anytime.

So far there are no medical processes. A sudden jumpo in growth can be deadly for the body becase it would be like a mutation upon mutation. Evidence to show this is the Chinobal Accident in Russia. Altering DNA wont help becasue that would kill you. Its liek the phrase. Changes dont happen overnight

There is nothing wrong with being different/eccentric. I've learned that everyone is unique in there own way. Why change how someone is born, there is too much stress from the media/public to be the "so-called norm". Everyone is different and that is not a bad thing. If your asking for yourself, you look more than fine to me :)
