Most doctors are not on a salary, unless the country has socialized medicine God forbid.

india - 53 rupees = 1 american dollar
1. govt doctors 10 thousand rupees per month to 15 thousand
2. salaried from private hospitals - starting from 8thousand rupees to 50 thousand rupees depending on seniority and specialisation.
3. self employed professionals 10 thousand a month to 6 lakhs rupees a month though this figure is not constant year round.
