is a midwife a good occuption?

i'm considering to become a midwife yet not quite sure as of yet. Can anyone give me the highs and low of been one and details eg- wage, hours, is it rewarding? etc

There have been cases when the mid-wife was sued due to the baby being deformed or with other problems.

Go to nursing school.
