i am falling for my best guy friend...ok we are always together. school, weekends, whenever we can we always go to the movies the mall, we took pictures together, go out to eat, we go to putt putt, we even have most of our classes together. we are always comfortable around each other. he talks to me about anything. and i do the same for him. but everytime i mention what it would be like if we dated he always gets shy. i really think he could be my highschool sweetheart. what do you think? could we be more than friends?

you may never know unless you tell him this...just casually bring it up and tell him you seriously want to talk about him and you want to know how he feels....you might be surprised! he may feel the same about you and thats why he gets shy when ever you bring up the subject of dating!

Some of the most long lasting relationships begin as friendships. I was once told it's very important to like the person you want to be with, especially during the tough times. That being said, I wouldn't push him too hard. If he gets shy around you when you talk about dating that may be a signal that he doesn't think of you that way right now. I fell for my best guy friend and unfortunately he didn't nor ever will return the feelings. I pushed it and now our friendship is strained somewhat. So proceed very carefully. Nurture the friendship, if something more grows great! But if not you know you'll always have a good friend in your corner.

Yeah, I think you could be. For one thing, you have a really solid friendship as a base. If he's up for it, you could be amazing together. That's how my high school sweetheart and I started out, we were inseperable friends before either of us thought anything of it. Years later, we're still inseperable and somewhat attracted to each other.

I think it's a wonderful idea, I'm not saying your going to get married because you have your whole life ahead of you, but all I know is you marry your best friend. And, the reason he gets shy around you is maybe because he doesn't know how to ask you out, but has been thinking about it quiet a bit. But, please don't take my advice, my advice always backfires on the people who use it.
