I am17 years old standing at 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. I am tired of being so small. I have tried many things. I mean I guess I have gained some weight. When I was 14 I was 5 feet 10 inches tall and 125 pounds. Anyways, when will I fill out? I have tried protein powder, but it gave me acne. I have tried eating more food + weight training and that works... I just want to know when you maybe filled out? I can bench 165 max, but I don't look like I can! Guys you remember being a teen. You were probably skinny too. When did you fill out? Get bigger? At what age?

My husband is 6'3" and weighs 240. When we met fourteen years ago, at age 20, he was starting to fill out but was still very lanky, and weighed maybe 175. He started looking proportioned around age 22. He blames my cooking, of course, but I beg to differ. LOL
You're still in puberty, and that means length with little mass. It won't be long until your muscles catch up with your bone structure. Just eat healthy and exercise and you'll be fine. Blessings

I was 6' 1" in high school and weighed 145. I lifted weights, even ate 3000 -4000 calories on most days and nothing happened. I didn't start filling out until i was about 30. I think one reason I didn't fill out sooner is that even though I was eating a lot of calories, I didn't eat enought for breakfast, and I also didn't train right with the weights. When I worked out, I would always try to lift the max weight I could handle and still be able to do the minimum number of reps. This approach didn't work well because I was not always recovered in time before the next workout.

When I started working out again around 30, I switched to low amounts of weight and worked out 5 days per week by cycling the amount of weight. I gained 20 lbs in 3 months, then another 10 lbs over the next two months. I weigh 185 now, and i cannot get any heavier from muscle - I have a naturally thin build.
