Yes ... cancer can strike anyone of any age. Young people are more likely to suffer from certain kinds, such as leukemia, then they are of others, say lung cancer. Your family history has alot to do with your chances.

Yes. Young teenagers get cancer. I know many who have cancer right now. When my son was 17 he was diagnosed with a stage IV abdominal sarcoma. It is a rare disease. He has been fighting this cancer for 22 months. The patients with this disease range in age from four years old to about forty. It is considered a childhood cancer.
The other types of childhood cancer include:
Leukemia, Ewings Sarcoma, Hodgkin's Disease, Wilms tumor, Brain Tumors, Lymphoma, Neuroblastoma, Medulloblastoma, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Osteosarcoma, Brain Stem Gliomas, Retinoblastoma, Rhabdomyosarcoma, Rhabdoid Tumor, Hepatoblastoma, Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor, and Liver cancer.

yes, unfortunatley cancer does not discriminate against anyone. everyone has a chance of getting cancer...it is very scary! i also know this because i am 16 and earlier this year lost a good friend who was 15 to cancer. i believe cancer is the devil and as until a way can be found to destroy it with 100% chance of survival then i'm just going 2 keep on praying

Havent you seen the commercials for st judes in memphis tn.. most of their patients if not all are children from babies to 21 I think. My daughter got terminal cancer at age 15 they told us to expect her to die..they treated her 3 years and then told us they only had one thing left to try a drug that was new that they wasnt even sure that it would work. They tried it and 13 years later is alive and doing well. She lost her teen years fighting for her life and was very pessimistic for about five years after but now has a fairly good outlook on life and doing well with a five year old.. Yes they can get cancer.. go to st judes website.. and take a look.
