What credentials do they usually have? How are they discovered? Where do I audition?

The best thing to do, is go up and start acting on stage after or before the show begins.

even if it s with pretend folks.

you ll be noticed, when your asked to leave the stage, tell them why your doing it , see what happens.

do it with your spark of wanting to be who you are, and don t give up if you have to do it every single night its on.

do what you want in life.

Well.. they all started out as stand up comedians. YOu dont' really "audition" for it. They goes to clubs in new york that have stand up comedies. And they just ask them if they want to do Saturday Night LIfe... blah blah blah. But the bottom line is that you can't audition for it.

They are submitted by their Talent Agent. Some have been performing in LA and NYC comdey clubs. Tell your agent to keep you in mind for a submission the next time SNL has auditions. Or, take charge and mail your "sketch comedy" video tape to the Executive Producer of SNL.
