In luke 17:20-21, Jesus/Yeshua said within you. In the thomas gospel (purest source of the sayings to date!) this is found,

Saying 3. Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) kingdom is within you and it is outside you.

When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."

Apparently it is knowing thy self, and thus knowing God. It would be becoming your higher self and knowing your relationship with God. Which is why Jeus/Yeshua said,

"And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." (John 3:13).

And this....

Saying 113. His disciples said to him, "When will the kingdom come?"

"It will not come by watching for it. It will not be said, 'Look, here!' or 'Look, there!' Rather, the Father's kingdom is spread out upon the earth, and people don't see it."

What do you think?

It is a place of hope for those who seek it, it is a place that brings peace to those who are left behind, it is a place that we all go because we all die, so is death heaven or heaven death or is it as Christians believe, a place of peace and love. Does it matter what we think or what we do in our lives, I think it's what we do in our lives that determines how we understand and what we learn to understand determines on how we live our lives. So no matter what you believe if you have peace in your heart weather or not you understand the definition, does it matter? May heaven be with you...

The hardest thing for people to get through their heads is that heaven is a real place. Not a bunch of fluffy clouds. The Bible describes it as a place with streets and walls and gates and abiding places.Greek Mythology has given us that cloud like cartoon.Never in the Bible are there girly looking angels with harps and stuff. In fact not once is there a mention of a female angel. They are always tough warlike beings.

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God [see The City To Come], prepared as a bride adorned for her husband; and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be with them; He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:1-4 RSV)

It is the place where God reigns over all the earth; a place where those who are born again through God's grace will spend eternity. My father was a born again Christian - knew Christ as his Savior as I now do and I know he's in heaven with the Lord now. The bible isn't very specific about what heaven looks like, but Jesus tells Nicodemus in John 3:1-7: "1 - There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 - The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 - Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 - Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 - Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Heaven is an actual place where we will dwell and plant gardens and eat from them.

After Jesus returns to take us home ,and after the Earth is cleansed with fire Heaven will be put down here on planet Earth. It will be a huge City built by God and we will have a home there in the city where we will eat freely from the Tree of Life that yields twelve fruits and the leaves are for the healing of the Nations. And we will be able to Listen to Jesus Himself minister to us, and see the beautiful thrown of God with a big beautiful rainbow around it.

We will also have a country home that we will build with our own hands and that's where we will plant gardens and eat from them.

What a wonderful place, I pray that everyone reading this will be there.

Jesus promises that "I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE , THAT WHERE I AM THERE YOU "MAY" BE ALSO....

We all need to perpare for His soon second coming so we may go with Him to that wonderful place that He has prepared for those who love Him....
GOD BLESS EACH & EVERYONE OF YOU !

I don't think we are meant to know, this side of heaven. There is a verse though, that I love...
"No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man, what God has in store for those that love him".
Take the best of the best, of what you have ever seen , known of, loved in this world, and multiply that by amounts unknown to us. That will be the just the beginning.

In essence, love - pure and perfect. The Bible speaks of Heaven as being in a condition of direct connection with Love.

Its defined by being everlasting, full of perfect peace, life and truth. It is the absence of darkness and the ultimate hope. I cannot describe its fullness to you, but this much I know.

The 1st Heaven
or
the 2nd Heaven
or
the 3rd Heaven

OR, basically, wherever God's special presence is manifested. [It is true that He is omnipresent, but He manifests His presence in special ways at special places.]

What is heaven, now? It definitely is a place, for Jesus said "I go to prepare a place for you". Many believe it is dimensionally different.
